Everyone knows from listening to the media, that the 2012 real estate market showed many positive signs of recovery. Locally, we saw the number of days on the market decrease (34%), the number of homes for sale decrease (4%), and the number of homes sold increase (12%).
What we didn’t see locally was the average sale prices go up. In fact, it actually went down. However, during the last couple of months of 2012 we saw the average sale price show an increase compared to homes sold in 2011. So, we are expecting to see the home prices in 2013 inch up.
