Some people think that if you put a for sale sign in the yard, buyers will appear. Well, it’s not quite that easy.
With the Minnesota real estate market as challenging as it has been for the past several years, we at Hometown Realty in Hutchinson, MN decided that we would not cut out any of our marketing strategies that had worked so well for so many years. At Hometown Realty we believe that we need to market a home for sale using every marketing tool we have available. We also made the decision to not charge sellers administration fees or raise our commission rates.
Hometown Realty starts by having our in-house stager meet with the seller and make suggestions that will help the home show in its best light (at no cost to the seller.)
Once the home is ready for showing, we put the for sale sign in the yard, attach the brochure box to the sign, take all our interior and exterior pictures, and enter the information into our Multiple Listing Service.
Next we complete a virtual tour done of the home and post it in the MLS and on our website at www.hometownmn.com. We write an ad for the newspaper (where we advertise the home for sale) and the Real Estate Guide highlighting the special features of the home.
Inside the home, we place an acrylic holder that contains information sheets and the seller’s real estate disclosure statements for the potential buyer to look over when they are viewing the home.
We hold open houses for both the public and other real estate agents to give the home more exposure in our search for a buyer.
So, you can see, that just putting a for sale sign in the yard is not enough to get a home sold. Contact the MN real estate experts at Hometown Realty in Hutchinson, MN for your home buying or selling needs.
